Puffins, Puzzles, and Poo Emoji Cookies

I recently overheard my husband on the phone, chatting with his mom, Debbie.

Joe: "Jenna is making a chocolate fudge cake."
Debbie: "What's the occasion?"
Joe: "Oh, you know. Just scratching the itch."

Guys, I've never heard a more accurate description of baking.

I bake because I MUST! SCRATCH! THE! ITCH!

And yeah, the blog is waaaay behind here. I'm pretty good about updating my Facebook page and my YouTube channel, but the blog gets left behind.

Sorry.

Anyway, I asked my nephews what sort of cookies they'd like me to bring when we visited Alaska. Here's the designs that made the final cut.

Enjoy!

First up is a cookie puzzle. Self-explanatory, pretty cool concept.

One of my nephews asked for puffin cookies:

And (I apologize in advance) my other nephew asked for Poo Emoji cookies.

Normally I would do the eyes like you find on your emoji keyboard, but I was short on time.

I toggle between thinking these are gross and thinking that they're hilarious. I guess I'm actually about eight years old on the inside.

Next are some marble cookies, made from leftover puzzle pieces:

And last, my trademark Sprinkle Bombs! The inspiration behind Sprinkle Bombs is that the birthday child gets their own special, sprinkle-filled cookie to open on their birthday while everyone else just gets a regular cookie. Sort of like blowing out candles on a cake.

Go check out my YouTube channel if you want to see the rest!

It's almost midnight and I've got to run. I've got a busy day tomorrow teaching the children's Sunday School class at church.

Catch you later!

-Jenna
