I'm over here DANCING!Thank you, THANK YOU, for reading my blog!
I feel so validated and honored to have your eyes on my page, reading my words, even if just for a few moments.
Thank you.

I've always been a reader. The first time a book sank its hook and dragged me away happened when I was in the third grade.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
Seriously, it was a hostage situation. I couldn't have put that book down if I tried.
(Not that my family didn't try. But they had just as little control over it as I did).
After that, I was a goner. I swallowed stories whole.
It also wasn't long before I began trying to write. I've always been at least a competent writer (though a few college professors would disagree).
Anyway, when I graduated from college in 2013, I finally had some free time and spent a few months world-building for a novel.
Which I then gave up on. It was trash.
I started story after story, some of which made it, some of which died.
One of my first ideas for a novel came from the story of Peter Pan.
How, I wondered, did Captain Hook find his way to Neverland?
Why is he still there? He hates Peter, right? So why stay?
The answer to that question came to me in a startling moment, and since then Hook's story has consumed a corner of my brain.
I've got this story about halfway done. It's plotted, I'm just reveling in the world-building and writing as I find the time.
My other working manuscript is a continuation of the story of Cinderella. It's very funny and nonconventional. I can't wait to get this one written out, I really love it.
To celebrate hitting 20,000 views, I also wrote out a short story just for you! Since this story takes place on Halloween, look for its debut sometime this week!
With love,
-Jenna
